What is the most important and broadly accesible medium to share and look for information nowadays?
A website.
Unlike Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, a website is the most accessible and straigforward way to share or to be seen in the digital era. You just need to open your favorite browser, type a url.com (or google some keywords) and voila! The information pops up like magic, no need to register or create an account.
I think that’s the main reason I decided to create one.
However, there are other reasons I would like to share with you here.
- To share large amounts of text, unrestricted by the character limits of other platforms
- To create a free channel of expression for personal thoughts and ideas
- To centralize my accounts and personal projects
- To have a presence on the web
I have always said that I would like to write a book; althought right now I don´t really know the topic, you have to start from something. I think creating a blog is a good way to start feeling confortable with the habit of writing and at the same time develop my proeficiency in the english language. Remember, it’s better to have something good now, than to have something perfect in some unknown future.
We are in the XXI century and everyone should have a personal website; it’s like our bussines cards. If you don’t want to create a website right now, I think at least you should get your personal domain.
On this site, I am centralizing my social accounts and other projects so that, from here, people can jump anywhere else according to their specific needs or interests.
I am taking advantage of the internet as a place for connecting through shared content, with the hopes of posting thoughts and ideas that would, otherwise, remain in my notebook or within the limits of conversations with friends. I like to think that making it public can reach audiences all around the world; it might not, but I am opening up the possibility that it might.
After all, I’m just following a personal idea and getting it done like in any exciting experiment, just getting started and seeing what happens. The most important thing is to make it without any expectations, just following your drive to share and to create just for the sake of creating, just because it makes you feel good.

“The important thing here is to not limit yourself. Use writing as a tool of self discovery, write your own feelings, ideas and fantasies.
The point there is to develod a consistent habit of 1) uninhibited self expresion and 2) practice formulating your thoughts in a highly coherent way so that others may understand them.”
